On the side of our house, which has vinyl siding, by the back door. Brown recluses aren't supposed to be in Norfolk, VA, but I can't figure out what else this might be. Thanks very much,

The spider in this picture is definitely NOT a Brown Recluse. Brown Recluse legs are shorter and are a solid color. Your spider also lacks the violin shaped marking on its back.
