I'm not sure what kind of spider it is, but it's not among the spiders considered to be dangerous to humans.

if your wondering why it has only 6 legs, i rolled over 2 of it's legs with my chair. I'm thinking, maybe a type of wolf spider? Do they have the capability to "decoy" their legs like a harvestman, or did i simply crush them off? it was about the size of a quarter and ran across the floor pretty swiftly.

It's not uncommon for spiders to lose their legs. They do not grow another one back if they lose one. I'm not sure what kind of spider that is.
