I'm down here in Florida, and have heard the stories about some pretty horrible brown recluse bites. One guy got bit on the chest while sleeping, and it almost killed him. The venom got to within about a quarter inch of his heart. Hense, he moved out of Florida. I got into the habit of checking my bed area before turning out the lights. I had never seen a b/r spider but feared what I couldn't. One day, I was comming home, and as I got to the door, there it was my first b/r.
He ran and hid near a moulding. I ran to get some bug killer, and came back. I looked behind the moulding, and there he was.
But the really strange thing is, is that his legs, now looked
like "pick up" sticks. His legs were going in all different directions. He did not look like a spider anymore. This was a great way of trying to avoid me. Please let me know if anyone else has seen this type of behavior.
